IMPORTANT: The delivery fee will be added at checkout based on the address entered and order dimensions.

Things change and the South African Rand is like a roller coaster, so we have to tell you that our prices are subject to change and are valid while stocks last.

In rare instances, we may need to substitute items in a gift. We reserve the right to make these substitutions without notifying you unless the substitutions are significant.

We will always attempt to contact you and we will make sure that any substitutions will be of equal or greater value and look as similar as possible to the product displayed on the website.

CHECK YOUR SPELLING: Please ensure that all recipient names and messages are spelt correctly.
We write messages and names exactly as provided by you and want everything about your gift to be perfect!

For security reasons, Blue Velvet may contact the recipient before delivery to let them know to expect something special.

DELIVERY POLICY

We strive to deliver on the requested day and time, however, sometimes things can go wrong.

Deliveries are calculated within Gauteng; we will charge an additional delivery fee if the delivery address is outside of our normal delivery range. If your recipient lives outside of Gauteng, the delivery may take one and two extra days to be delivered.

Our deliveries will take place from 7 am to 7 pm from Monday to Friday.

To ensure same-day delivery, please send your proof of payment to us before 12 pm that same day.

For security reasons, we will not leave deliveries unattended at the recipient’s front door. We will, however, try our best to deliver at reception, receiving, security or a neighbour if they are not available.

Our normal delivery procedure is to give the recipient a call when we are at or near the specified address. If we cannot get hold of the recipient, we will call the sender. If we cannot get hold of the recipient or the sender, we reserve the right to re-attempt delivery at a later stage. If we have to reattempt your delivery more than twice, we will charge you a handling fee of 15% plus delivery.

Our standard delivery fee is R100.00

We reserve the right to charge a 15% handling fee plus delivery if the address provided is incorrect or incomplete.

GUARANTEE

Products are individually handmade; slight variations might occur.

All gifts carry a six (6) month guarantee in the event that they are found to be inferior, unsafe, or defective.

RETURN AND REFUNDS POLICY

The provision of goods and services by Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited is subject to availability.

All refunds will take up to ten working days to reflect into the account the original payment was made from once processed.

Refunds can only be made to the account holder (sender), not the recipient of the gift.

If you are not 100% satisfied, let us know within 48 hours on info@bluevelvetevents.co.za. We will gladly collect and replace or provide you with a refund.

If the gift is still in its original condition and we have stock of something else which you prefer, we will happily exchange it.  However, we may have to charge a collection, handling, and re-delivery fee.

Sometimes mistakes happen. If you receive a product that is different from the one you ordered or if you’d like to return it, let us know within 48 hours of receiving it and we’ll make arrangements for the item(s) to be returned to us and for the correct product to be delivered to you ASAP.

If the incorrect product is delivered to you, do not remove the product from its original packaging, or tamper with or use the product in any way. If you tamper with it or use it in any way and it is not in the tip-top condition that we delivered it in, you will be liable for a 15% handling fee plus delivery.

You will have 48 hours to report any technical difficulties that a gift may have, and we will arrange for the item to be returned to us for testing.  If the item is in fact in working order, the product will be returned to you, at your cost.  If there is a problem, we will offer you either a replacement or a repair depending on the fault and the supplier.

CUSTOMER PRIVACY POLICY

Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded Here.

PAYMENTS

Any payment above R500, paid by direct deposit, must reflect in Blue Velvet’s account before an order will be released. This may affect the delivery date you have chosen. In order to prevent any unwanted delays, we recommend payment via credit card or EFT Pro.

We require proof of payment before an order is released. This means that you need to personally email your proof of payment to us at info@bluevelvetevents.co.za. Emails sent via the bank may take longer to arrive.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.

Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

CUSTOMER DETAILS SEPARATE FROM CARD DETAILS

Customer details will be stored by Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.

MERCHANT OUTLET COUNTRY AND TRANSACTION CURRENCY

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

RESPONSIBILITY

Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

COUNTRY OF DOMICILE

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 101 Sixth Street, Parkmore, Sandton, 2196.

VARIATION

Blue Velvet Events (Pty) Limited may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
